Bound Book by Mistake

Someone gave over a sefer to put on it an additional binding. This person was binding a number of seforim at once. The person received the sefer back and only realized then (not originally at the time of purchase) that the original binding of the Sefer was put on backwards. He now wants to return the sefer however he doesn’t want to pay for the additional binding that he had done. Does he have to pay still?

Answer:

Yes, the binding must still be paid for: The service was ordered and provided, and the person who asked for it must pay for it.

The fact that the service is no longer of use to him does not exempt him from paying.

Best wishes.
