What should one do with left over (used) wicks,used hanukah oil, etc after hunukah? Can one put it in a bag and throw it in the garbage? Whats the best way?
Answer:
It is best to burn the wicks and oil that was actually used for lighting, and some are careful to do this (based on She’iltos, cited in Meiri to Megillah 26b).
However, according to the strict halachah they can be thrown away, preferably in a separate bag (Shulchan Aruch 677:4).
