Intimacy in Room with Toddler

Can I have intimacy if I share the room with a toddler?

Answer:

Yes, there is no problem in this.

If the toddler is old enough to speak, he must be asleep (Orach Chaim 240:6).

Best wishes.

  1. Shulchan Aruch (OC 240:6) seems to qualify this; only permitting relations in the presence of a child that doesn’t know how to speak. If the child knows how to speak, then the child needs to be asleep if relations are contemplated.

    1. Thanks. I have noted this in the main text.
