Using Soap on Shabbos

Thank you Rabbi.
Pump soaps that TURN THE SOAP TO FOAM. Are they permissable on Shabbos?
Thank you.

Answer:

The use of liquid soap on Shabbos in permitted according to most authorities, because the creation of foam is not considered a transgression of nolad (changing state; transformation to foam is not a change of state).

Although Rav Moshe Feinstein zt”l was seemingly stringent on the issue, the common custom is to be lenient.

This applies to the “foaming hand soap” and all similar types of soap.
