We purchased “soft-matzah from Yerushalayim” with a very good hechsher. I am Sephardi of Iraqi origin. How do I work out the volume of 27 grams as to how much to eat at the Seder?
Answer:
The measure of 27 grams is in fact a measure of volume rather than a measure of weight, though many Sephardi poskim approximated the volume as a measure of weight, which is easier to measure.
You can use an electronic scale to measure the weight, and it is advisable to add a couple of grams because of differences in the density.
