In theory: If one is given a sefer torah written by a Conservative Rabbi, should that Torah be burned? (Assuming no one would know, it wouldn’t cause hatred or anything else)?
Answer:
The Gemara states that a Sefer Torah that was written by a min (heretic) must be burned.
However, in the case of the Conservative movement we cannot know the status of the rabbi who wrote it, because the movement includes a range of beliefs and statuses.
Therefore, out of doubt it will not be correct to burn it.
