Bringing Jewish Singles Together

Can someone introduce a non religious youg man and girl knowing that they will probably not be shomer nigia and /or keep taharas hamishpacha after marriage? Are there concerns of lfnei eiver? Or is it a mitzvah to introduce Jewish people to one another even if they are not religious?

Answer:

It is a mitzvah to introduce Jewish people to one another, for if they will marry within the Jewish community there is a chance that they and their children will continue to live as Jews, and perhaps even observant Jews, whereas if Heaven Forbid they marry out, there is no chance.

The fact that they might not keep halachah in their relationship is not something we have to be concerned about, because we know that this is the situation in any case (singles that don’t keep halachah don’t keep halachah irrespective of who we introduce them to), and on the contrary, a Jewish couple has a greater chance of coming closer to Jewish practice and to Hashem.

Best wishes.
