Scratching Back on Thirtieth Day

It is day 30, though my wife has no set schedule for her niddus, and lately goes 50 – 75 days between being a niddah. Is she permitted to scratch my back?
Thank you.

Answer:

Yes, this is permitted.

The prohibition of the 30th day does not include the harchakos of the Niddah period, and there is no problem in scratching a husband’s back.

Some poskim (see Yoreh De’ah 184 – Bach, Taz, and Shach) write that one should avoid chibbuk and nishuk during this time (the Shulchan Aruch rules that this is not obligatory), but scratching one husband’s back will not be included.

This is more so the case for the matter of the question, in which there is no kevius at all.

Best wishes.
