More Questions on Christianity in Torah

To any rabbis

I forgot to ask these questions. Before I do, you can take you time.

1)Know the story of Jacob wrestling with god or angel(not sure what one)is that a real story actually happen or made up?

2)Know the stories of Noah getting drunk and other stories, are they literally?

3)Does the Torah ever speaks of Jesus and Muhammad?

4)Does the Torah ever speaks of heaven and hell?

Please take you time.

I hope the messiah does come very soon. But it’s good that Jews will recognize the messiah.

Last thing. I am asking question 3, because when Christians recognize the Jesus is the messiah, they say it comes from the Torah.

When comes to Muhammad, Muslims say he is mention by name in Hebrew, song of songs 5:16 in Hebrew.

Just need to get my facts straight, that is why I am asking these questions.

Yours Sincerely

Costas

1) Most authorities assume that it was a real historical stories. Some suggest that it was a vision.

2) Yes, literally.

3) No, the Torah was a long time before these individuals came to the world.

4) Not in a direct sense. The Sages find references by way of interpretations, but there is no direct reference to heaven and hell in the Torah.

We also hope the messiah will come soon. Muhammad is of course not mentioned in the Torah, and the word machmadim in Song of Songs 5:16 means “precious things” (it must be understood in context of course).

Jesus is mentioned only if you read various prophecies in Daniel and other books in their Christological sense, which Jewish commentaries reject altogether.

Best wishes.
