Forgot if Recited Berachos

If I start davening (i.e. saying birkas hatorah) on the way to shul in the morning but then realize only once I am finished saying the brachos that I literally don’t remember saying them IN THEIR ENTIRETY (meaning, I can remember starting but then just finished without thinking at all about anything said in the middle/end – total unconscious repetition), do I need to say the brachos over again?

Answer:

No, you should not say them again.

The Gemara writes that somebody saying Kerias Shema and then not remembering what he said can assume that he said Shema according to the proper order – because this is what he is used to doing.

In your case, if you said the first berachah and the last one, you can assume that you said all of the berachos in the middle, because this is the shigra delishnah – the ordinary way that you recite the berachos daily.

In addition, this will be a case of safek berachos, whereby you don’t say the berachos again out of doubt.

Best wishes.
