Can a Tallis Gadol be washed in a washing machine? Can it be ironed afterwards?
Answer:
It can be, but many prefer to use dry cleaning because of the concern for damaging the tzitzis strings.
There is of course no halachic problem involved, but only the technical question of how to wash the tallis without getting the strings tangled.
