Davening Late after Late Awakening

Is someone’s alarm clock not ringing considered an onus (allowing him to daven after zman teffilah)?

Answer:

This is considered an “oness” for purposes of davening late (until chatzos) and for purposes of tashlumin.

Even if one forgot to set the alarm clock, which would be a shogeg rather than an oness, this is sufficient to permit davening late.

Best wishes.
