If one is called upon to say one of the 7 berachos at a chasuna where a woman was called up to read the kesuva, should he refuse to make the beracha & make a macha’a?
Answer:
Although the common custom is of course that the Kesuba is read by a man, reading by a woman does not involve an actual prohibition.
Therefore, as a general rule this would not be an incident that necessitates a mecha’a, certainly not one so severe as a refusal to make the berachah that you are invited to make, which will of course result in the embarrassment of the ba’alei hasimcha.
Best wishes.
