So far, I have not found a reference why Hashem created a clitoris in the female body. Do you have perhaps a thought on this?

Answer:
The clitoris is the part of the female body responsible for providing the pleasure in marital relations.
This pleasure is integral to the husband-wife or male-female relationship. It is the most intense human pleasure, which is inherent to the deepest human relationship. Moreover, Chazal see elevation and sanctity in the relationship between husband and wife, and the Shechinah rests upon their union.
The human body is conditioned to “enjoy” this elevation (in a similar sense to the World to Come, where the righteous will enjoy the glow of Hashem’s Shechinah, as the Gemara in Berachos states), the female clitoris functioning in this role.
