Is it permitted to clean clothing on chol ha’moed that if not cleaned will get ruined?
Answer:
If the clothes will get ruined otherwise, it is permitted to wash them so as to avoid their loss.
This is included in the heter of “davar ha’aveid” (see Aruch HaShulchan 537:1).
