Halacha teaches us that we have to take all precautions to avoid danger and life-threatening situations. This is in line with gun regulations in the US and elsewhere, which of course have the same purpose – but halacha will sometimes be more stringent, urging us to avoid dangerous practices even if there are “legal.”
