Dear Rabbi,
I was just wondering about what to do in the following case.
I often work a night shift and then go and daven Shachris (without having slept). As I have been up all night I don’t say birkhat h’torah and try and find someone to motzie me. In cases where I cannot find someone, I have intention that ahava raba should act as my bracha and learn afterwards. I then have a sleep. I was wondering, if when I wake it, should I make birkhat h’torah?
Answer:
No, since you were yotzei birkas haTorah with ahava raba, you have the same rule as everyone else, thus after a nap during the day you would not make birkas haTorah.
