Eating Before Tefillin

Is there any prohibition to eat before having put on tefillin (for example, if one recited the morning prayers without tefillin, and he will be putting on tefillin sometime in the afternoon)?

Answer:

No, one may eat as long as he has recited morning prayers.

    1. the Mishna Brura refers to the general prohibition of eating when there is a mitzvah incumbent on you to perform.
only kevias seuda is prohibited in such a case, only before shachris is there a prohibition for all eating
