Tallis on Head for Single Man

Dear Rabbi.
If a unmarried man is davening from the amud at mincha is he meant to wear a hat, as opposed to putting the talis over his head?

Answer:

While this is generally the custom there is no problem for him to wear the tallis over his head, for example if he has no hat. If it is a younger teenager it may look funny to people and should not be done.
