Bracha for Peanut Butter

What is the bracha for someone that likes to eat peanut butter, cashew butter and sesame butter out of the jar without bread or a cracker?

Answer:

The beracha would be shehakol.

Sources:

See Shulchan Aruch O”C 202:7, that since most of this food is not eaten crushed, it’s bracha is shehakol. See Mishna Brurah ibid. 44 that when it is mostly eaten crushed it retains it’s bracha. When presented with statistics that most peanuts in America are crushed for peanut butter, Rav S.Z. Auerbach ruled that nevertheless it remains shehakol. He reasoned that the above is only true when it is crushed because it is not fully edible. Peanuts are fully edible whole and so in any event in their crushed state they would be shehakol.
