Question:
Can, is advisable, for a nephew do, to participate, to Rechitsa of his uncle, brother of his Mother? Or in the presence of other people is preferable to discourage? I'm talking about rechitsa for Tahara process on a deceased uncle.
Shavua a tov Moshe
Answer:
There are a number of relatives mentioned with which one should refrain from seeing unclothed. They are father, father in law, mother's husband, and sister's husband. An uncle would seem to be permitted. Nevertheless, some authorities mention the custom that no relative participate in the Tahara, unless there is no one else available to perform the Tahara.
