Question:
Not possible to travel to the mikvah. May a lady immerse in the spring fed lake after 7 clean days. For safety reasons, can it be done in the daytime? For privacy, may she wear a swim suit or a robe? What are the rules/halacha? Thank you.
Answer:
If there is no other option available a women can immerse in a lake. She has to be careful that no stones or debris gets caught between her toes. Also she needs someone to supervise her immersion, If she has no choice she can go to the mikveh by day provided that 7 full clean days have elapsed i.e.on the eighth day. As far as wearing something if it is absolutely necessary perhaps she can wear a very loose fitting robe.
