Time between Bris and tevillah for a ger

Question:

Shalom Aleichem,
I was wondering if there is a specific time period between a ger getting his bris and the mikveh ceremony of tevilla. Is there a halachic time limit within which the tevillah must take place after the bris in order for it to be a valid conversion, or is it a case of, the bris is one step, and tevillah, another, both needing to be done but independent from each other with respect to time? If possible can you provide sources?

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely

Answer:

There is no specific time period between the bris and tevilah because they are independent of each other. Before the tefilah (immersion) one has to be certain that everything has thoroughly healed and that there is no fear of infection.
