Hummus bracha

Question:

you answered that the bracha of hummus is shehakol [if smooth] isnt the rule that if a food id mostly eaten in a pulverized fashion it retains it bracha i.e. haadama – in general the halacha truly follows the opinion that even pulverized retains its blessing – the rama quotes that it is customary to recite shehakol, but if the food is generally eaten that way it retains its bracha
most chikpeas are eaten as hummus – huge amounts are used for each tub

Answer:

The rule is that if the fruits or vegetables were grown to be ground up they retain their original brocha. I don’t know if the chick peas used for humus were specially grown for that purpose. Even if so perhaps you go after the majority of chick peas grown and not the minority used for humus.
