A Chabad rabbi who I know got a Jewish divorce a few years ago. A few months ago he had what he called a wedding with photos online that showed a ring presentation and family photos. He at that time had not even filed for a civil divorce. Is this really a wedding??? Are they really married?
Answer:
if a proper Get was given he is considered divorced even though he has not yet filed for a civil divorce.
