Telling a child to stop misbehaving BaRabim

Question:

If a school-aged kid is not behaving in class, or is being chutzpadik, is it permitted to tell him out loud to stop (when the rest of the class will hear), or is it considered Halbanas Panim BaRabim?

Answer:

There are many variables to your question i.e age of child, if it was a one time occurrence, has a warning been given etc. Generally speaking a teacher is allowed to rebuke a child publicly so as the rest of the class will not follow suit.
