Question:
בס"ד
Hello
When somebody works and he earns a percentage, lemoshol :
Chaim is collecting for a מוסד and is not getting a fixed wage per month, he
is getting 20% from everything he collects. He worked 25 years and now :
1) if he stops by himself - Is he entitled to compensation (פיצויים)?
2) If the מוסד sends him away (no matter the reason), do they have to
compensate him ?
3) If he brings someone else in his place, does it make any difference ?
Thank you very much

Answer:
The whole concept of compensation (פיצויים) is based on what is the prevalent custom. It is normally awarded to someone who received a regular fixed wage. Therefore a collector who is not getting a fixed wage per month does not receive compensation.
