Question:

Someone hurt me over a long time ago and has never apologized or asked for mechila in a sincere way. i recently contacted that person and can tell from their tone that they feel irritated – not sorry. do I drop this matter even though i cannot forgive them as long as they cannot admit any wrongdoing? i feel i would be attacked verbally for telling them what they did. Is the onus on them if they don’t even understand or know what they did but they make me uncomfortable telling them? How can I be mochel if this is their attitude?

Answer:

I suggest you should forgive the person and leave the rest up to Hashem, you will be rewarded for your noble attitude . If never the less you feel you have been wronged and cannot forgive maybe someone else should approach the person and try to explain to them that you you feel hurt.
