May one handle a kli shmelachto lissur on Shabbos solely for the sake of having the area look tidy? Would having guests factor in?

Answer:
The poskim say that it is not considered tzorech mikomo, if you don’t actually need use of the place, but it is only for niceness. R’ S .Z. Auerbach zt”l however said that if there is something embarrassing in the room and it will cause the person to take his guest into another room, then since it is hampering the actual use of the room and it would be permitted.
If the place will be needed later on during shabbos it may be moved even now, and you don’t have to wait until you actually need the place.
