I am an older single girl in shiduchim. Is it permissible for me to buy and wear new clothing during the year of availus for my father?
Answer:
It really depends on the need, but if there is a need she can buy the clothes and have someone else wear them first, and then she may wear them. If she doesn’t have a choice and there isn’t anyone else to wear them, if the new clothes are needed for a date etc. she may also wear them.
