When we say mefarnesin aniyei akum im aniyei yisrael mipnei darchei shalom, is that similar to mishum eivah or is it an inherently positive thing to be “Verachamav al kal maasav”?


The gemorah Gittin 61a says that it is because of darcei shalom, which means mishum eivah.
