Picture of sun

Question:

Can I go to the website, weather.com if it sometimes has the symbol of the sun and moon. I’m not planning to print them. Thank you!

Answer:

The poskim say that typing into on a computer is not technically considered writing, because the letters or picture is not really there. There is no actual letter written on the screen. Aside from this, the letters or pictures don’t have any “kium”, since they are only there as long as the electric is running through the screen. Another reason is that the writing is not meant to last, and is meant to be erased.

Regarding printing of the sun, there are different opinions about this. See the following link. https://dinonline.org/2017/01/09/making-or-taking-am-image-of-the-sun/
