May one use dryer sheets to clean pots?

Question:

I got a text saying that dryer sheets are made with pig fat and that they can’t be used for cleaning pots (apparently it’s a popular method)

First of all, is this true?

And if it is, what would be done with either a pot or a pyrex that this method was used to clean it?

Answer:

Halachically it is permitted. The reason is since the chemicals are not edible and there is no issue of wanting to eat it, (achshivei) so it is permitted. After this is said there are still people that won’t want to use it because it contains some not kosher ingredients.  Regarding the second question, obviously you don’t have to worry about it if it was already used.
