Using Toothbrush and toothpaste never sold with chametz, after pesach

Question:

I never sold my toothpaste and toothbrush before pesach with the rest of the chometz my parents sold. They were just left in the cupboard in the bathroom and not placed in the room/cupboards designated for the sale of chometz. Can I use the them both after pesach because toothpaste is not fit for a dog to eat and therefore has no issue or is it chametz sheavar alav hapesach and forbidden?

Answer:

I am not convinced that it isn’t fit for a dog, as many people swallow some toothpaste when they brush their teeth. In any case both the toothpaste and the toothbrush may be used after pesach, as toothpaste doesn’t contain chometz, and the toothbrush, should just be washed off well, and it may be used.
