Question:
I was cooking pasta in a meat pot and the water was hot. I had not used the pot for at least a week but it is a meat pot. (It’s a stainless steel pot.) I grabbed a wooden spoon to stir the contents of the pot and then quickly realized it was my parve wooden spoon. Is the spoon now fleishig?
Answer:
Obviously you should try not to let this happen again, but b’dieved the spoon is still pareve, since the pot was aino ben yomo, and it would only be nat bar nat of heter.
