baked chicken if it’s considered bishul

Question:

The question was on “baked chicken’ that was baked in a oven with a drop of water, onion and other spices, before shabbos, and it was on the hot plate, just to keep it warm, but friday night after the meal i want to put it, in the cholent.

Answer:

Since the chicken was baked and not cooked, (the little bit of water is not going to make it considered cooked) to put it into a pot of soup or into the cholent pot would be bishul achar afiyah, and should not be done. The fact that it was on the  hot plate is not going to change things here, because the issue is that you are changing the form of cooking. Therefore it would be the same as taking it out of the fridge and putting it into the soup pot.
