Hafrashat Challah

Question:

We are in process of baking challah. After a few loaves were already baked we realized that Challah was not separated. Should we remove Challah from the leftover dough or bake all the rest of the loaves first, and combine them to the same bowl, covered (we’re in Eretz Yisroel) and then separate challah?
Thank you

Answer:

This is a very interesting question. I am assuming that the whole dough was made together, and became chayiv in challah as one dough. You should combine everything into one bowl, and preferably cover the bowl to include everything. Then take off challah and have in mind that you are also bring mafrish for the absorbed taste of challah that is absorbed in the walls of the oven and the pans.
