Good morning. I read in Kitzur Shulchan Aruch laws of marriage 18&19 that when there is a rumor that a man and a non-Jewish woman had relations R"L, it is ossur for the man to marry her if she becomes a giores later on in life. What is the source of this issur? Is it somewhere in Shulchan Aruch?

The source for these halachos are in Shulchan Aruch Even Haerez 11- 5&6, based on a Mishna in Yemovos 24b. The reason is not because we doubt the reason for the geirus, but because this will enhance the bad rumors that there was a prior forbidden relationship.
