I have a certain job which I do in a weekly basis. For a few reasons I would like to stop it, but I know that if I stop it, it will probably cause embarrassment to a certain man who was very involved and pushed to get me this job. According to Halacha, do I need to take that into account in my considerations for stopping the job?

Without knowing the specifics of the situation, it is very hard to give a definite answer, however in general if you have to stop the job, and I assume that your reasons are correct, you are allowed to leave the job. On the other hand you should do whatever you can to help this person from getting embarrassed, and causing him to feel hurt, even if it means making it sound like a reason that would not cause the man embarrassment. This is because you are being “meshaneh mipnei hashalom”.
