Toy with a cross on it

Question:

My son has a Play Mobile toy on which one of the spears has a cross sticking out of it on top. May my child play with it? May we keep it in the house? Is there an issur involved? Is it hashkafically wrong?

Answer:

Halachically it is permitted because it is not made in order to used as an avodah zara, but only for ornamental purposes therefore you may keep it and it may be played with. Hashkafically though many would remove the cross part in order to remove ourselves from such things and to get as far away from them as we can.
