Can a woman eat meat on day of tevila if embarrassing not to (eg special office party)

Question:

Can a woman eat meat on day of tevila if embarrassing not to (eg special office party)
My wife’s office is making a special party at a restaurant on the day of her tevila. Can she violate the minhag not to eat meat out of embarrassment for not going?

Answer:

According to most poskim she should still not a meat on the day she is going to go to the mikva. She can eat the rest of the things that they serve, and if she can, make it look like she ate a little bit of the meat. This way no one will realize anything and it will still be b’tnius.
