“Burning out an oven”

Question:

If I broil or bake fleishigs in my oven and then I want to bake something pareve that can be eaten with milchigs and it is not practical to clean the oven or wait 24 hours, is it permissible to “burn it out”? That is–can I turn the oven to a high temperature for a certain amount of time to clean it out from fleishigs? If so, what temperature and how long? Thank you!!

Answer:

You can kasher it, by making sure it is clean on the inside, that then turning it to its highest temperature, for 10-15 minutes. If the broil mode is hotter than the highest baking temperature, use the broil mode.
