Question:
Do I need to sell chometz also in my rental properties (i.e. properties I own but rent to others) or only the property I live and have access to. I did not leave any chometz in my rental properties.
Answer:
The person who rented the property has to get rid of the chometz that is his, in the rental property. However if the chometz in the rental property belongs to you, then you have to sell it. By the way, you are not selling your chometz to the Rov, he is also Jewish and he doesn't want your chometz for pesach, you are just making him your messenger to sell your chometz for you.
