Question:
i cooked noodles in a clean meat pot which had been used the day before for heating meat. may I eat the noodles with cheese?
thank you
Answer:
If it was used for the meat less than 24 hrs. before cooking the noodle (and the pot is considered a ben yomo) then you should not eat it the noodles together with cheese, however after the cheese it is permitted. but if the meat was cooked more than 24hrs. before the noodles were cooked (and it is considered an aino ben yomo), then it would be permitted. Note: Although in retrospect, the noodles may be eaten with cheese since it was cooked in an aino ben yomo pot, preferably we should not cook food in an aino ben yomo pot, with the intention of eating it with the other type.
