Question:
I know that the speaker and listener of loshon horah get a sin. Does the subject the person spoken about also get sin?
Answer:
The Midrash says that loshon hora kills three people, the teller the person it was told to and the person it was said about, meaning, that all three people are damaged by the lashon hora. The Midrash however does not say that the person who was spoken about also gets a sin.
