I'm in an apartment for rent do I need to make a brocha by putting on the Mezuzahs? also how often one should be bodek his Mezuzahs?
Answer:
If the apartment has a mezuza already and you are not putting it up, then you don't have to make a bracha. However if you put up the mezuza, even if you only took it down to check it, ( orwhen you eventually will take it down to chewck it) you would make a bracha.
You should check the mezuzas twice in seven years.
