Question:
My husband will be in Israel for for 3 weeks for business and I would like to join him for part of the time.
I am allowed to travel (to Israel) during my year of aveilut for my father z'l.
We have 2 children living there and other close family members, as well.
Thank you!
Answer:
You may join him and it isn’t considered “tiul” because you want to be together with him, and with your children.
Enjoy your trip.

Can you travel or cruise for touring purposes during the year of aveilus for a parent?
What do you mean by touring purposes? Is there a need to tour, or it is merely for pleasure?
