shalom, my friend bought me a ticket to a shabbat dinner and said you can pay me back. When i payed him back i gave him 40$ when the ticket was like 38.50. I told him its extra for the hassle of coming here to get the money. is there any issue of ribit here? is everything kosher? thank you

You are fine. The reason is since you told him that the extra money was for the hassle, therefore you only paid him back the amount of the ticket for the loan, therefore it isn’t ribbis.
