Question:
May one eat milk and meat in the same meal? For example, after hamotzei may one eat something dairy, then wash hands and eat and drink something and then eat meat?
Answer:
Yes. Just when drinking and eating between the two the liquid and food should be rubbed around the mouth to “wipe” it clean of the milky residue. Some people have the minhag of waiting half an hour between milk and meat, but if this is not your minhag it is fine.
