What is the opinion of Rav Ovadia Yosef zt”l on dogs being muktzeh on Shabbat?
Answer:
R’ Ovadia Yosef zt”l holds that dogs even if they are one’s pet are muktza on shabbos and may not be handled. A bind person however may go outside while holding on to his dog’s leash. As a side point he holds that all pets are muktza because all animals are muktza on shabbos.
